This Privacy Policy explains how Marathon Runner (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use our iOS app and website.
1. Who we are

2. Information we collect
We collect only the data needed to run the game:
- Anonymous account ID created with Firebase Authentication (no email/password required to play).
- Display name you enter in the game.
- Gameplay data such as selected character, race results, medals/best times, and online lobby information (room code, players in a match).
- Technical data that Firebase/Apple may process to operate the service (for example device/app diagnostics and crash information, if enabled by the platform).
We do not require your real name, phone number, or home address to play. We do not sell your personal information.
3. How we use information
- To create and keep your in-game profile.
- To run solo races and online lobbies with friends.
- To save progress such as medals and best times.
- To maintain, secure, and improve the App.
4. Where data is stored
Game data is stored using Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore). Data may be processed on servers operated by Google according to their terms and privacy practices.
5. Sharing
We do not sell or rent your information. We may share data only with service providers needed to operate the App (such as Firebase/Google) or when required by law.
If you join an online lobby, other players in that lobby can see your display name and character during the match.
6. Children
Marathon Runner is a family-friendly game. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for marketing purposes. Parents/guardians who believe a child has provided information they want removed can contact us at the email above.
7. Data retention
We keep gameplay profile data while your account remains active so you can continue playing. You may request deletion of your profile data by contacting us.
8. Your choices
- You can change your display name in the App.
- You can stop using the App at any time.
- You can email us to request access to or deletion of your stored game profile data.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical measures provided by our platforms (including encrypted transport such as HTTPS) to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the revised policy.
